Whether you’re undergoing a major renovation or giving a bathroom a much needed facelift, we are able to help in a variety of ways. From developing an overall design scheme, to working with contractors, we provide guidance on space planning and layouts, selections (including paint, lighting, plumbing fixtures, flooring, hardware, countertops, tile, millwork, etc. ) as well as any finishing touches you need from furniture to art and decor.

DECORATING
There is nothing we love more than leaving clients with a finished space and our decorating services do just that. We help with furniture, lighting, paint, textiles (bedding, drapery, pillows, etc.), art & framing, and decor. From antiques to thrift finds, custom made pieces to off-the-rack, we source from all over ensure your space is one of a kind and reflects your tastes and lifestyle. We’re comfortable reimagining your space using existing pieces, working from a blank slate or anywhere in between.

VIRTUAL DESIGN
We’re accustomed to working with clients from afar and today’s technology makes it easier than ever! Our design process is identical to that for local clients, leaving only the implementation to you. We provide everything you will need, from measurements for hanging art to detailed purchase instructions to ensure you get an HLS approved space, even without our team on the ground.

STYLE CONSULTS
Looking for a second opinion or a few ideas to get you started? Consultations are for clients needing specific recommendations or a general plan to help them move forward. It’s also great for folks that are working on their spaces in bite sized chunks and might not have the time or budget to move forward with a full design right now. We meet from 1-4 hours, put together specific recommendations and a visual inspiration guide for you to reference as you work on your home.

A one-size-fits-all full service model isn’t the HLS way. We know that each person and project are unique so we offer three ways to work with our team to meet your needs and achieve the goals for your home.

During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss which method might be the right fit for you based on your project needs, budget, schedule, DIY enthusiasm and more! Then we’ll tailor our proposal to make sure the design experience works best for you and your budget.

WORK WITH US

FULL SERVICE
Best for clients needing on-going help - typically renovations, new builds, or decorating multiple spaces. The Full Service method we can handle any or all aspects of the process from selections to project management. We charge an hourly rate, billed monthly, and provide an overall estimation of our design fees based on the project scope.

DESIGN COACHING
Best for clients that need an overall plan and some specific selections, but that want to tackle some of sourcing and design decisions themselves along with the project management and installation. We help form the design concept and vision, recommend and select specific pieces as needed and help guide you through the design process so that your selections work within the design (and you’re not left with costly purchasing mistakes). We have bi-monthly or monthly checkins where we finalize decisions (to keep you moving forward) and provide specific next steps so you can easily stay on track. This option is ideal for busy folks that need flexibility and don’t have a hard deadline (like a renovation), but need a plan and specific design advice to get the project completed. We’ll map out the project timeline from the beginning to help clients achieve a completed space, typically in a 3-4 month period.
